Program Overview
Name
The program shall be known as the Jordanian American Physicians Association (JAPA) Residency Match Application/Personal Statement Review Service/Program.
Program Collaboration
The program is a collaboration between the JAPA Residents’ Committee and JAPA Academy.
Application Process
Students applying for the program must submit their applications using the application form available on japacademy.org.
Application Deadline
Students must submit their applications no later than September 5st 2023. Applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis due to limited spots available.
Personal Statement Review
Review Process
The JAPA Residents’ Committee and JAPA Academy will assign experienced professionals to review and provide feedback on the students’ personal statements.
Specialty Matching
JAPA will make an effort to match each applicant with a specialist in the specialty they are applying to. However, if a specialist in the requested specialty is not available, the applicant will be matched with another specialist who can provide valuable feedback.
Spot Availability
JAPA has a limited capacity of 88 spots available for personal statement reviews.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality Agreement
All personal statements and application information shared by the students will be treated with strict confidentiality by the reviewers and program administrators.
Data Security
Appropriate measures will be taken to ensure the security and protection of students’ personal information and application materials.
Amendments
These bylaws may be amended by a majority vote of the Jordanian American Physicians Association (JAPA) executive board, provided that the proposed amendments are communicated to all members of the board in advance.
