Jordanian American Physicians Association Visiting Student Reception Program
(JAPA-VSRP)
The selection process is based on a standardized MATCH system, which evaluates your application and preferences. This systematic approach ensures a fair and objective assessment of all candidates.
Eligibility and Requirements
Eligible Students
Only final year students from Jordanian Universities are eligible to apply.
Application Fee
Applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of 60 USD to be considered for the program.
Institutional Requirements
Each visiting opportunity is subject to the requirements and regulations of the hosting institution. Applicants must comply with the policies and guidelines set forth by the hosting institution.
Letters of Recommendation
Evaluation Criteria
All participating attending physicians are willing to write letters of recommendation based on the student’s performance. The letters will reflect the student’s professionalism, knowledge, and skills. Providers may write letters categorized as good, excellent, or phenomenal.
Code of Professionalism
In the event of violating the code of professionalism during the visit, the leadership of the medical school will be informed and no LoR will be provided.
Observership Status
Students with observer status will be allowed to present themselves, demonstrate their knowledge, learn the healthcare system, and participate in available scholarly activities.
JAPA-VSRP 2023 Feedback
Amendments
These bylaws may be amended at the discretion of the Jordanian American Physicians Association (JAPA) executive board.
Effective Date
These bylaws shall become effective immediately upon approval by the Jordanian American Physicians Association (JAPA) board.
Dissolution
In the event that the program is terminated, any remaining funds shall be utilized for charitable purposes as determined by the Jordanian American Physicians Association (JAPA) board.
Deadline
June 20, 2024
Note
JAPA will not assist in the logistics of the elective rotation beside helping securing the spot. Transportation, lodging, orientation in the hospital, meal accommodations are beyond the scope of JAPA mission in this project.
